Etlia helped Bang & Bonsomer clarify their future data platform solution
Bang & Bonsomer’s existing data warehouse and reporting solution had been expanded over several years, eventually becoming difficult to maintain. Integrating new data sources into the system was challenging, the technology was outdated (e.g. SSIS technology), and the ERP system—originally the primary data source—had already been replaced with a new enterprise resource planning system. The current solution no longer effectively supported the changed business environment.

Bang & Bonsomer asked Etlia to carry out a preliminary study that would support the data needs of the company’s various business units while also providing perspectives on the needs of the entire group. Additionally, the future solution was expected to support the company’s growing business in an agile and cost-effective manner.
The preliminary study was completed efficiently within a few months through interviews and workshops with key business stakeholders, as well as IT and reporting leads. Less time was spent on mapping the current state, with the focus placed on future needs and business goals.
